Kamakura Women's University

Kamakura Women's University is located in Kamakura, a city with a history of over 800 years, where the Kamakura Shogunate was based from the end of the 12th century to the early 14th century. The area is rich in traditional arts and culture.
The university was founded in 1943 as a specialized educational institution for women, and currently offers an integrated educational system ranging from kindergarten, elementary, junior high, and senior high school to junior college, undergraduate, and graduate programs.
We encourage each individual to become self-reliant and to lead fulfilling lives with a strong will to pursue their own potential.
We are also committed to educating students to develop professional careers, enabling them to become specialists who can play important roles in society by responding to the changing needs of the modern world.
Furthermore, while remaining faithful to the founding spirit of the university, "Gratia et Ministerium" (Gratitude and Service), we strive to provide high-quality education with distinguished faculty and continuously enhance and update our curriculum.
